Simple Box CMS 1.0.1 script description:

Publisher review:
Simple Box CMS is a simple (mostly) perl based CMS (content management system). This is a simple (mostly) perl based CMS (content management system) that takes advantage of a wysiwyg editor to provide any novice web site owner with a text area of rich editable text that can be edited / saved / updated easily without much fuss.

The target audience for this project is web developers of smaller sites that don't need or want a full blown content management system that boggles the mind of the site owner. The goal here is to keep it very simple - just edit the text, the formatting, alignment, font face, of a "box" that fills a space on a site that needs to be updated by the owner.

The space is filled by the site using simple SSI or php includes or whatever suits you. This allows you, the web developer, to design a complex site, and still allow the site owner to easily manipulate the areas you specify with Simple Box CMS.

Simple Box CMS currently uses TinyMCE, but could use another editor easily. It also has support for using an included copy of ibrowser plugin for TinyMCE that uses php to upload images.

Some sites may not want the extra complexity and security concerns of the file upload facility, so ibrowser is disabled by default in Simple Box CMS.
Simple Box CMS 1.0.1 is a Perl script for Content Management scripts design by greenpotatochip. It runs on following operating system: Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris.

Operating system:
Windows / Linux / Mac OS / BSD / Solaris
